Cusco Attractions

Cusco's landmarks are close together by the standards of most cities, and this section covers them one at a time. The Plaza de Armas, the cathedral that fronts it, and Qorikancha, the Inca temple of the sun whose walls carry a convent today, all sit within the historic centre. North of town, Sacsayhuaman, Qenqo and Tambomachay line the same hillside road, with Moray out among the terraced fields beyond. The section also takes in the San Pedro market and the carved stones of Hatun Rumiyoc. Each page explains what a visit involves and which guided circuits or day trips include it, from short city walks to full routes running out toward Machu Picchu.
